Competitors will diverge at Palm Beach International Raceway from all across the country to compete in quarter-mile and 1/8-mile races. Murray’s Speed & Custom 5-Day Bracket Championships on Nov. 17-21, 2009

THE 25 YEAR TRADITION RETURNS TO PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

JUPITER, Fla. - - Palm Beach International Raceway presents the Murray’s Speed & Custom 5-Day Bracket Championships on Nov. 17 through Nov. 21, 2009, marking the first time the event will run under the Palm Beach International Raceway banner on the new, all-concrete, quarter-mile drag strip.

Competitors will diverge at Palm Beach International Raceway from all across the country to compete in quarter-mile and 1/8-mile races. Each day rivals run for a purse of more than $10,000 in the quarter-mile and on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the winner takes home $5,000 in the 1/8-mile drag racing.

Marc Welser, once the drag strip manager at Moroso Motorsports Park, and presently serving as the drag strip manager for Virginia Motorsports Park is the race director for the Murray’s Speed & Custom 5-Day Bracket Championships assisted by Eric Tripode, a 10-year veteran at facility.

On Friday evening, Palm Beach International Raceway will pay tribute to Brenda Reaves who is celebrating 25 years of employment with Moroso Motorsports Park, now Palm Beach International Raceway.
